We survived the flood!

We got a reverse 911 call Wednesday afternoon (from city of Puyallup) recommending evacuation for 3 areas in Puyallup near the river.  A website we found projected that the Puyallup river would reach 30 feet around 4 am and possibly up to 34 feet by 10 am on Thursday morning.  Scott took a drive around 10:30 pm to check out the river and said it still had another 5 feet or so (near our area) before we would have to worry.  We moved some stuff upstairs but realized if we did get flooded it would not be too deep.  According to the website, it only made it up to 29-1/2 feet.  We drove around today to inspect the rivers and areas surrounding the rivers and it was pretty crazy.  Sadly there were quite a few homes we saw that had been flooded during the night.  We feel extremely fortunate we weren't flooded.

Happy New Year!

We made it through the holidays and are looking forward to a new year of fun adventures.  Jenna and Jake return to school on Monday and it will be nice to try to get back into a schedule.  Scott has been off work due to the poor weather and I am hoping that will change soon.  It has been great to have him home, but I get out of my routine and it is hard to get back to.
